In general, the edge insulation strip is left in place initially. The floor installer first lays the floor, then cuts the edge insulation strip flush with the top of the finished floor surface, and finally installs the baseboards.
In the past, the baseboard and floor were installed directly on top of each other, which sometimes caused unfavorable sound transmission issues because there was no decoupling.

In the past, skirting boards and flooring were installed directly against each other, which sometimes caused unfavorable sound transmission because there was no decoupling. I also came across this through research. Our parquet installer requested it. For the carpet installer, I left 2cm (1 inch) of space.

We want to install a mirror over the entire length of the bathroom wall. To test whether a mirror measuring 3.20 x 0.70 meters (10 ft 6 in x 2 ft 4 in) can be transported through the house and staircase, we built a dummy today and successfully got it to the destination.
Cool idea We are currently planning a staircase with a landing, and my husband is also worried about difficult transportation. Maybe we will build a few dummies too.
