Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

It will turn out fine...
why would your situation be any better than everyone else’s?

For us, it was: August, relax. Then we gave notice once the screed was dry. For the end of November. The move was in mid-October.
Everything was finished by then except for some touch-ups and small details (a few baseboards, kitchen fronts, that kind of thing).
The thing that took the longest was the living room cabinet from the carpenter – but even that was within a reasonable timeframe.

We moved in without a sink and not to mention lamps, furniture, or some missing baseboards ;D. I believe almost everyone goes through this! It gets better week by week until after a year you still don’t have some things and have already gotten used to the status quo...

Here is another update from me. Our roof is almost fully tiled, and we are very happy that we chose these tiles despite the significant extra cost. We think they look really beautiful... especially once the facade has the right color...

@Climbee: Despite having a large buffer on the first morning, we were immediately visited by three tradespeople, including the installation of the front door. That is quickly forgotten.

It looks really stylish! Congratulations on moving in.

It looks really cool, especially the color of the roof tiles. What exterior color are you going with?
