Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

The last two days focused on the exterior landscaping:

White plastered exterior wall with rectangular concrete foundation and surrounding soil.

Excavation pit next to the house wall, trench with gravel and concrete debris, shovel and bucket.

Exterior view of a newly built house with white facade, earthworks, and downspout at the corner.

We took advantage of the last warm, bright, and dry period.

Do you like the house and the distant view?

It looks newly built. Didn’t you just ask about adding an extra floor?

I asked about adding an extension on top of our residential house about three years ago. The younger generation is now building on their own. See the attached house.

After X hours of learning, practicing, reading, getting frustrated, and almost crying, the last two days I finally got down to the core with KNX!

The actuators and switches are programmed for now, and thankfully, after initial testing, everything seems to be working fine.

Today was the big day for installing the lighting: 6 LED panels and 14 spotlights installed. Apart from one panel, everything is working as it should. The electrician got mixed up on that one, so instead of the light fixture, a socket outlet was wired.

The tiler finished the main bathroom today. The floor tiles are expected to be delivered on Thursday, so work on those will start next week.

I can hardly wait to move in. But there are still a few “small things” like floors and doors that need to be installed...

Can you recommend a certain type of LED panel?

No, not really. We bought some from a hardware store.
Two of them were intended for the walk-in closet, but after testing with an MDT dimmer actuator, they ended up in the kids’ rooms because they can’t be dimmed.
But I think this issue applies to almost all LED panels, so we’ll probably have to switch to other options.
I was already aware of this during planning, but I didn’t want to start working with 24V systems.
