This is a really good response, Ms. Bautsch. I was genuinely annoyed while quietly reading along. If someone wants to deliberately discuss their floor plan and invite criticism, that’s fine. But if they share it as additional information about a house that is already under construction, there is no need for critics anymore. It’s pointless; construction is already underway. Period. And if someone doesn’t want to like it, they can simply remain silent. Karsten
Our "walk-in closet" has a finished interior size of only 3.1m x 2.3m (10.2 ft x 7.5 ft). Two 3m (9.8 ft) long wardrobes fit inside, with a window on the front wall—done. The space between them is probably about 1.05m (3.4 ft). We were able to replicate the space quite well and were satisfied with the distance.

Oh yes, @jucre45, will we get to see the walk-in closet once it’s finished? I keep wondering what width is wide enough and at what point it becomes too wide. We’re planning to have tall cabinets on one side only and dressers on the other, but I’m still unsure whether to plan for a clearance of 100-110-120 cm (39-43-47 inches) between them. Here is an "older photo" showing 60 cm (24 inches) deep cabinets on the left and 35 cm (14 inches) deep ones on the right, with a height of 235 cm (92 inches). The handles aren’t installed yet on the front, the mirror is missing at the back, and the dresser at the front right is also not in place.

A wardrobe with access on one side only, 112 cm (44 inches) works comfortably for an average adult without a walker or need for a seat. Hinged doors can get in the way. Two people cannot pass by each other “without communication”; this has to be accepted and can be annoying if the walk-in closet is the only access to the bedroom. Position mirrors carefully. Standing too close is not good for viewing the overall appearance.
