Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Tomorrow afternoon, the concrete slab will be poured. On Thursday and Friday, the precast concrete elements for the basement walls will arrive, and on Saturday they will be concreted in place.

Foundation slab with steel rebar mesh, wooden edge formwork, and construction fence at the edge.

Construction site foundation with steel reinforcement, blue foil, and construction fence.

This really depends on the camera...the last picture is quite close to reality.

It also has a bit of an industrial warehouse feel to it. (my personal opinion)
It’s probably because I love brickwork.

Too bad, I was just about to compliment you on the great blue color of the garage.
Personally, I have to admit that I always find houses without eaves a bit 'bare.'

Well, this is simply the prevailing style here in the Jura region... houses have been built this way for 800 years, and we like the old Jura houses without eaves. Grandma’s "garage" is gray; the blue tint is definitely due to the phone camera lens.

Didn’t you post pictures of the foundation slab just two weeks ago?

What are your eave height and ridge height?

The eave height is 6.70 m (22.0 ft) and the ridge height is 9 m (29.5 ft).

The main house measures 13.55 m (44.5 ft) in length and 9.55 m (31.3 ft) in width.

It's a pity, I would have liked the blue color.
