Hello,
we want to paint the entire interior of the house white. The paint will be applied directly onto the fine, smooth plaster. Since it’s quite a large amount, does anyone have a recommendation for a manufacturer or supplier with a good price-performance ratio?

Take a look at Stiftung Warentest to see which paint performs well in terms of low toxin content, etc. That would be my first criterion. After that, I would compare the prices, but I find it quite difficult to judge paint based solely on price.

Best regards

I’m afraid we can’t afford eco-friendly paint. I have roughly calculated that we need to paint about 650m² (7000 sq ft).

It doesn't have to be an eco-friendly paint. But Abe is still taking a look. There are also inexpensive paints that are not harmful to health.

I wouldn’t recommend using those from the hardware store, as they tend to yellow over time more than the paint that professional painters use. Maybe just look for tests online 🙂

After using 150 kilograms (330 pounds) of paint for our house and paying 30 euros (about 30 USD) per 10 liters (2.6 gallons), I will never do that again. Next time it will be Sto, and nothing else. The paint was awful. Unfortunately, I bought it on sale, so no returns. It was the house brand from Globus. Otherwise, a bucket costs almost 45 euros (about 45 USD).

I had to paint everything twice.
