Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

@ivenh0: Finally, not an oversized house! How big will it be? Great area!

Ground floor + upper floor with 180 m² (1,938 sq ft) of living space, plus an office of 20 m² (215 sq ft) with shower/toilet in the basement. A total of approximately 300 m² (3,229 sq ft) of usable space.

The opposite is true. Do you have any evidence?

Nowadays, stoves burn extremely cleanly, and especially with the introduction of heat pumps, more and more people rely on wood as a backup.

It is also carbon-neutral compared to oil and gas, as it is a renewable resource.

This concerns older stoves. There is an emissions regulation, and the grace or transition period will end soon.
It must affect stoves from the late 1970s to early 1980s.
Some people here are complaining about it.

This concerns old stoves. Not everyone has a new build with modern stoves.
Some people I know are still using their old ones.

Wood is NOT a CO2-neutral fuel. It never has been, it never will be, and it simply cannot be. When I remove a current CO2 sink from the environment to burn it, that is not neutral in any way. I could replant as much as I want, but that doesn't change the fact.

Wood is a fossil fuel of the same category as oil, gas, and coal—nothing more. This is a result of very effective green marketing.

Sorry for the off-topic comment. It just really annoys me that I keep hearing this.
