Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Wood is an expensive item during demolition. The cubic meter of reclaimed wood costs more than a cubic meter of concrete/debris.

Currently, almost every piece of wood that has been cut or chopped is considered contaminated.

Have you already moved in?

No, we haven’t moved in yet.....

I have to admit, I find the entrance a bit "lifeless." I had to look closely to find where it is. And without some sort of covering, it’s not very pleasant standing right outside the door, especially in the rain or winter.
Or is something planned there?

Of course it still looks lifeless, since nothing has been done outside yet! Trees will still be planted, the paved areas are missing, the covering, and so on... the scaffolding was only taken down yesterday.

Finally!!! The scaffolding is gone! I’m literally speechless….

Are there any final floor plans available to view? I really like it.

Reclaimed wood that is untreated or not painted can be obtained from almost any neighbor here. Almost everyone has a wood-burning stove or fireplace.
Well, and a timber frame house builder simply builds with wood.

Wood stoves are becoming less common.
Next year, there will be a major decline in tiled stoves.
