Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Thank you!

Drainage is done using a PVC sewer pipe embedded in the concrete ceiling, which then runs down inside the left wall.
It cost around 21,000. Additionally, the waterproofing work was about 3,000.

It turned out to be a real eye-catcher, but my wife is not quite happy with it yet. She likes the shape but not the exposed concrete... :/

What is your current total price?
Maybe a small approximate breakdown.

Apart from that small shed roof, I really like the house. Did the development plan require a shed roof, and you managed to cleverly work around it? Or was it a conscious design choice? Either way, tastes differ, and what matters is that you like it. Congratulations on your new home and enjoy it [emoji4][emoji1303]

A quick addition: the exposed concrete carport is very stylish and really well done [emoji1303] Only the mailbox seems to be hanging a bit crooked [emoji23][emoji6]

The mono-pitched roof was necessary because, according to the building official, otherwise it would have been classified as a third full storey, which makes no sense from a building regulation perspective. We would have had to either file a lawsuit or accept this mono-pitched roof. We would have preferred a flat roof as well.

So, we’ve made some progress again. The door finally arrived.

Where are you now with the total price?
Maybe a small approximate breakdown

I'll give it a try, it should be roughly like this:

Shell construction including interior and exterior plastering, earthworks, infrastructure preparatory work, and a few small things – 161k
Infrastructure – 7.5k
Carport including foundation work – 21k
Roof work (flat warm roof) – 16k
Shed roof + metalwork – 8.3k
Windows (19) + doors – 17k (PVC, basalt gray exterior with RC2N on the ground floor and accessible points on the upper floor, including window contacts for KNX)
Venetian blinds, 6 units (mixed formats) – 4.2k
Roller shutters (13 units, aluminum) – 4.6k
Aluminum front door with side panel – 4.5k
Heating (gas without solar), sanitary rough-in, central ventilation with heat recovery and enthalpy exchanger (Zehnder Q350) – 44k (including underfloor heating insulation)
Sanitary fixtures (self-installed) – approx. 7k
Screed – 3.3k
Electrical (relatively extensive KNX with satellite and LAN) approx. 44k (got quite out of hand, initially 30k :/ )
2x air conditioning units – 5k
Painting (exterior + interior) – 11k
Carpentry for interior doors + wooden staircase (oak parquet) – 8.4k
Drywall – 2k (kitchen bulkhead, shed roof ceiling + one drywall partition)
Glazier – 4.5k (glass balustrade 4m (13 feet) wide, glass window sills, shower wall, and 2 large mirrors)
Floor tiles (whole house) – 5.7k
Wall tiles – 1k
Flooring on roof terrace – 1.5k (installation included in flat roof work)
Tiler – 18k (including extensive additional work; also covered minor painting and plastering tasks)
Exterior landscaping (invoice pending) approx. 23k
Carport roof waterproofing (not yet done) ~3k
Architect fees – 28k

Total is 453.5k€

That matches pretty closely what’s currently in the bank account.
In addition, there were some small expenses like notary fees etc. for the land transfer, covered by the parents.
Kitchen cost 21k, walk-in closet 3.5k, wardrobe 1k.

So, it should be around 480k by now. Quite a lot.
