In my opinion, many people increase their self-worth by devaluing others, ... mainly among those who do not distinguish between value and price.

At the top, we can’t shift it or make it larger due to the symmetry. Nonsense. Everyone notices a 5cm (2 inches) deviation from alignment, but only a watchmaker might see a 5cm (2 inches) deviation from symmetry. Do it now, while the lintels are not yet installed.

I usually share very few pictures, but I always enjoy looking at yours! Regarding doors, here’s one from our living room that I’m simply head over heels for. We have the same door throughout the house, but without the glass panels. Our house was built in 1921.
The flooring was, I believe, from Parador, but in any case, it’s a good quality laminate with extra-wide planks that really looks like real wood. After 3 years of heavy use (dog, 2 cats, and 2 children now aged 5 and 7), we are still very happy with it. And yes, I know wallpaper is a matter of personal taste, but I still love it even after 3 years!

The network cabinet is installed as well. Now all the cables are terminated, and this week I plan to finish the distribution cabinet. I’m ordering an additional dimmer actuator. I had only planned for 8 channels, but those are already fully used, and I could still use at least 4 more. Looks good. However, two questions: Is the precast concrete ceiling left unfinished? The gap between the network cabinet and the door frame seems quite tight to fit a door frame—is that correct or just an illusion?

Is there a specific reason why a different type of insulation was used around the basement window?
