Here you can clearly see how at least two parties missed something during the planning phase.
The draftsman/"drawing assistant" and the homeowner. The basement window and kitchen window are offset by 5cm (2 inches). It’s a bit annoying...
We can’t move or enlarge the top one because of the symmetry. I’m definitely not going to ask the people with the big saw to make the hole bigger down below. So, my first agenda item (besides closing the right window) of "things we would do differently next time."

We probably added around 30 extra.
Mainly to ensure that wherever you really need one, there is a socket, so you never have to run cables across half the house. Even in places where we knew devices would be, we often installed a few more.
However, we still can’t avoid using multi-outlet adapters. Simply because some device cables are not long enough. If they are placed on or inside furniture, you have to extend the cable somehow. Whether you see the cable of the power strip or the device cables doesn’t make much difference.
One thing I would always pay extra for: the in-wall conduit for the TV on the wall. It looks SO MUCH better when no cables are hanging down.
