Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

At first, we wanted to install it continuously, but then we became concerned that some areas might lift or similar issues. Also, the hallway was actually supposed to be installed in the other direction... so now all door areas will have tracks.

Ah, okay, thank you very much for your answer.

Soft materials, acoustic elements like ceilings, etc. It’s not rocket science to control the echo.

What exactly do you mean by ceilings? The room is already finished, right? A suspended ceiling would be a much bigger effort now...

In our hallway, there is a lot of echo, and unfortunately the problem is that you can’t really put many soft furnishings there... just a coat rack and that’s it...

There are also acoustic panels available for walls, as well as individual elements for the ceiling. It is not always necessary to lower the entire ceiling.

How about this?
Panels only add a few centimeters (inches) in thickness and are highly effective. These are from Ligno Trend.

Someone also had pictures of a special acoustic covering.

After a long delay, here is hopefully the final version of the underfloor heating. The screed will finally be installed on Thursday!
Tomorrow, the metalworker will come to prepare for the staircase and gallery railings as well as the bar glazing, and today the electrician hung the switch boxes and connected the power outlets. On the front side, the scaffolding has been removed for the utility connections, which are scheduled for next week. In short: IT'S MOVING FORWARD.
It would be even better if we had the exterior plaster applied, but December was too cold. During the one warm week before Christmas, the plasterers couldn’t work outside, although they did an amazing job inside. The interior plaster was standard Q2 but they delivered Q3 quality. That will save the painter a lot of filling work. Really impressive.
The painter is scheduled for early February, as is the tile setter (fast screed), the floor layer and kitchen installation are planned for March, and moving in is targeted for early April. Hello final sprint!
