Just blaming radiators for taking up floor space is absurd by comparison.Classic "whataboutism," you know? I’m not even going to argue about windows and floor space; we could also discuss shelves, display cabinets, wall decorations, and so on. But the point remains—if you add up the radiators in a house, they cover a floor area that easily surpasses that of some guest bathrooms. This space costs money and simply cannot be used for anything else (or saved), and there’s no getting around that.

How could you possibly build this? ... it’s just not acceptable... You can tell: the house has no reason to exist here, and you’d be better off in a rental apartment Yes, I’m starting to realize that too. We’re just going to cancel the move and stay in our old apartment with the faulty heating system. By now, we’re used to the game of “Let’s see what temperature the apartment is when I get home.”
Otherwise, I’d say it’s time to focus on house pictures again. We’ve discussed heating and space for equipment enough here already.
@Tina mit K: I just want to clarify that my intention was never to criticize your house or heating system. What’s done is done, and I have absolutely no interest in wasting my time trying to get under your skin. Sorry if it came across that way!
However, many other homeowners are reading this who appreciate factual arguments, and I didn’t want to leave them with only the statements from @ypg. After all, she contributes many posts here—often good ones—and therefore has a certain reputation.
