Back to the topic of photos. On Thursday, there was still no underfloor heating pipe installed; by Friday evening, the screed was already poured.Very neatly installed, and at first glance, there are no missing areas.seat88 schrieb:
That doesn’t mean I come home to 18°C (64°F). The heating is on here, and even 22°C (72°F), but for coziness, we light the fireplace, and naturally turn off the heating. And we don’t have to do that, we want to. Of course, everyone can do as they please. My opinion doesn’t have to be yours. And if you don’t want work and mess, maybe consider renting an apartment without a garden.I love my garden, but going to the forest to collect firewood, especially in weather like this or colder, never again. Just the thought gives me cold feet and makes me feel the chill coming on. Working on the slope, carrying the wood away, loading it, then splitting, sawing, stacking. Mice and other critters in the woodpile.
Yes, some people enjoy collecting firewood and even keep two draft horses for logging.

Questioning things objectively seems to be something many people in our society are uncomfortable with, and being direct even more so.That doesn’t sound objective at all. But that’s okay.Of course, you can question the purpose of a fireplace in a new house, and probably everyone will justify and calculate their own preferred heating method – myself included. No one truly needs a fireplace, so you can save a lot of money by not having one. Many people enjoy having a fireplace and are happy to spend money on it. Some save very well, others spend thoughtfully.
Objectivity always has at least one purposeful reference – this can be financial, functional, social, or qualitative – or a combination of these.
Building in a way that ensures the highest possible quality of life after moving in is objectively correct. Objectively correct is also to do something that brings yourself joy.
By the way, I find it quite funny when objectivity is equated solely with cost efficiency. Ultimately, from an objective point of view, a good approach is simply to spend less than you earn and set aside a reasonable reserve that lets you sleep peacefully. Within that framework, many still have plenty of flexibility.
Is it objective to quote from back then that a house without a chimney isn’t really a chimney, or am I stepping too far into the lair of the “you don’t need to build a house without underfloor heating” supporters?
Sorry, I had to say that again before new photos are posted here.
