Cost savings—you will probably argue that underfloor heating is cheaper, but I just turn off the heating, light the fireplace, and heat the whole house that way...

You don’t need to make a joke out of it... why would anyone do that? I mean voluntarily set the flow temperature high and so on Higher flow temperatures don’t really matter much for a pellet or gas boiler and won’t increase energy costs compared to lower flow temperatures. Radiators, as already mentioned, are more flexible and offer more options for the floor construction. Also, cats love lying on them.

You don’t need to make this ridiculous... why would anyone do something like that? Voluntarily increasing the flow temperature and so on Your question sounded quite shocked with the punctuation, and I just respond to that kind of thing with humor. Apart from the thick wooden floor, the previous answers from the forum members have already explained the reasons quite well. But it’s mainly the slow response of underfloor heating that bothers me. When I’m cold because I got hit by too many snowballs during the fight, I just want to press my hands and backside against the radiator, with my wet shoes underneath and to lay my wet clothes on it.

There’s no need to make a joke out of it... why would someone do that voluntarily? Like monitoring the supply temperature on the heating system and so on For example, also because of costs. One homeowner might have included it in their budget of 250,000 (about 275,000) while this one with 200,000 (about 220,000) might not, and an extra 5,000 (about 5,500) would be too much.
All your talk about “I don’t even need to build without underfloor heating” is hard to believe.
And having a heat source is always good.
I just saw an old apartment on TV... and dreamed
