Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

sorry, but this reminds me of another user who always wrote in a way that made you think they must have a nice house, because they constantly criticized other designs, but never provided alternative examples of how to do it differently.

Just because I can’t have a perfect kitchen myself (due to a limited situation) doesn’t mean I can’t plan one.

Since I don’t know the exact measurements of the kitchen being “criticized” here, I can hardly make a counterproposal (plus, it’s too late anyway). However, I did point out, for example, the handles. These could be retrofitted, for instance, the “missing” handles.

When the house or kitchen is already built, you can only plan with what’s given, as with my kitchen (although I did negotiate with the landlord and was able to make some changes like electrical outlets, plumbing positions, and that annoying door to the storage room).

Honestly, I think it’s getting enough.

We all understand that you don’t like the kitchen.

However, it doesn’t have to please you, but the owner.

By the way, I don’t like your kitchen either. The microwave on that ugly stand makes the kitchen look cheap. The cable for the extractor hood could have been avoided.

The freestanding refrigerator doesn’t fit visually.

But it doesn’t have to please me; I just find your comments arrogant, and your kitchen isn’t perfect either, even if you present it differently.

That’s exactly the point—he didn’t open his kitchen for discussion here, but showed it in response to a user’s question.

I was also about to proudly share my construction progress here, but after seeing all the unsolicited criticisms of other users’ pictures, I decided against it.

The microwave couldn’t be placed anywhere else.
The refrigerator was already there and still quite new (budget issue).
The incompetent workers didn’t follow the kitchen plan properly and didn’t install an outlet for the range hood, but put two outlets on the other side instead -.- I’m still annoyed about that today (but we don’t see the cable anymore and it won’t be changed anymore — we don’t plan to stay in the apartment longer than five years).

I actually think the kitchen is nice, great colors, bright, and I also like the basic layout.
But it has a few points that I find inconvenient for comfortable work in the kitchen.

I don’t find my kitchen perfect either (I don’t like the microwave situation either, but what can you do?), but I hardly had any choice.

What’s great is that the countertop extends all the way to the window. We also wanted to do that, but after testing several kitchen designs, my wife found the planned one meter (3 feet 3 inches) to be too high.
