After the glazier installed the mirror wall and the shower partition, the carpenter came by today to fit the wardrobe.
We also accepted the glass panel by the shower, even though we didn’t want something like that at the start of the planning. It’s a good compromise.
Since there are no hinges or similar fittings, the glass panel is very easy to maintain. After showering, you can squeegee it off in 10 seconds, occasionally clean it with a window vacuum cleaner, and that’s it.

I actually like the mirrored wall opposite the stairs even better.
I have to admit, I never expected the house to turn out this well when I saw the design in your avatar picture a year ago.

We have come to terms with the glass panel by the shower, even though we initially did not want something like that at the start of the planning. It’s a good compromise.

j.bautsch15 Feb 2018 06:53I really like the staircase (at least as much as you can tell from the reflection in the mirror). Did you apply any special protection to the white on the steps? Something like a protective coating? We’re concerned it will get dirty quite quickly. People do occasionally step on it with their feet or house slippers, and sometimes even with outdoor shoes if they just go upstairs quickly to grab something. It will probably get gray or black quite fast.
