Hello,

does anyone here perhaps have practical experience?

What size should a walk-in "open" (3 walls) shower with floor-level entry have to prevent water from splashing out significantly?

In the plumbing supply store, we were advised that the length of our future walk-in shower (floor-level, one side open) should be at least 1.20–1.40 meters (4–4.6 feet).

A friend said that it is always cold and causes a mess 😀 He recommended at least 1.5 meters (5 feet), but they apparently only have 1 meter (3 feet).

We were told multiple times that it was 1.40 meters (4 feet 7 inches), so that's how we planned it. ;-)

I can’t confirm that... but maybe your friend doesn’t have warm water in the shower...

Ours is 1.2 m wide (4 feet)... and some water splashes out... so I wouldn’t go any smaller than that... 1.4 – 1.5 m (4.6 – 5 feet) would probably be perfect...

I think it’s just very sensitive ;-)
