I'm definitely not a fan of petticoat style and similar, but I really love the very simple 1950s furniture with angled legs that the Danes are bringing back. Sometimes I consider buying something when I see it on eBay. However, they usually have an old smell, so I end up not making the purchase.

Here’s a tip: if the joiner doesn’t already do this, take a cabinet carcass from Ikea and have it made into a custom piece of furniture. This can save costs. With Pax, Metod, Besta, and Godmorgon, you can usually find a suitable cabinet carcass for almost anything.
