Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

The house opposite doesn't quite look right; it resembles a 1970s-style witch’s house in the Harz Mountains.

Our windows will be installed starting Monday. I'm already curious to see how it turns out.

@ivenh0 It's a pity that the frame of the lift-and-slide door slightly narrows the nice appearance of the corner window. But better to have a lift-and-slide door than none at all. This is a 3m (10 feet) lift-and-slide door, right? Otherwise, I like it.

The "small" stair window is probably made of safety glass, isn't it?

Anyway, it has the better view.

Regarding the new neighbor who is Turkish: he is happy to live between an engineer and a doctor, but the others suddenly have a Turkish neighbor.

The house itself looks coherent; what would bother me more is that the corrugated metal garage for the car just stands there so inconspicuously.

The windows finally arrived here in the last two days as well. Hopefully, the work will be finished tomorrow. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to take proper photos myself. They will follow over the weekend.
We really like the all-glass corners so far

Is it just the appearance, or does the concrete slab at the corner window continue uninterrupted to the outside?

The lift-and-slide door is about 3.75m (12 feet 4 inches). Now that it’s installed, we would have preferred it to be only 3m (10 feet) and instead extended the glass corner further around the angle. We would also currently choose light gray windows on the inside instead of white. Well, you always learn after the fact. Although maybe this will change once the wooden floors and wooden window sills are in place, and it doesn’t feel so sterile anymore. Yes, the stairwell window is safety glass. I think it measures 240cm x 220cm (7 feet 10 inches x 7 feet 3 inches).

Does it just look like it, or does the slab at the corner window run continuously outside?

No, the terrace was poured later. Also, insulation was installed between the slab and the terrace.
