Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

All appointments are scheduled. Next week, the screed will be ground, followed by the painters. The staircase will be installed in week 37, and tiles and parquet flooring in weeks 38/39. I will handle the final installation of the sanitary fittings and electrical work myself.

Well, I find that quick enough...

Just some detailed photos from my side –
our heating system is finally running to dry out the screed...
the only thing left to discuss is the length of the set period, which is 2 weeks too long.

Other than that, the painters are almost done; finally, the place doesn’t feel as small as it did during the shell construction phase.

Two walls will be light blue, the rest will stay white.

And I’m eagerly looking forward to the bathroom, there will definitely be photos of that...

you are quite optimistic ...

It can also be even faster: The excavator arrived on 27.02.17, the basement was built in March, the house was erected on 29.03, and the rough plastering was done by 29.07 before we moved in.

@KingSong: That is really fast! Is it a prefabricated house?
@blackm88: You are really quick, 5 months construction time including the basement, wow. Is everything completely finished or is something still missing?

I don’t find the construction timelines mentioned either overly ambitious or optimized down to the last detail. The excavator arrived on February 25, and move-in was on October 22. It was a solid masonry house built stone by stone with a basement. In July, there was no construction progress for three weeks due to floor screed drying, followed by three weeks of company closure. On one hand, those three weeks could still have been made up, but on the other hand, I used that time to paint and install flooring without anyone getting in my way or me getting in anyone else’s way.
