Hehe, this is turning more and more into casual pub talk. Do you know as little about football as I do?
Some people find concrete slab foundations interesting, while others are more into ventilation ducts.

Today the heating pipes were installed. Looks good! The general contractor’s inspector was also here and said everything is fine!
Tomorrow the screed will probably be poured.
Sounds just like your construction site.
Glad to hear that.
Did the expert say anything about the water?

Is it “standard” to install these ugly surface-mounted boxes?
I already found it annoying in our case that these steel covers were installed in the wall. Luckily, we were able to position both distribution units (after discussing with the architect beforehand) so that they are hidden behind two doors – of course INSIDE the wall.
Having such a bulky box in the room is really unpleasant.
By the way:
In the hallway, the pipes could have been arranged a bit better instead of being all pushed to the right side while leaving empty space on the left. (But probably nobody will notice this during operation.)

Did the expert say anything about the water? He said the roofing work urgently needs to be completed. Initially, this was postponed because the scaffolding was still in place. And if something falls down during the scaffolding removal, then all the work would be pointless. But now they have no other choice. Yesterday, the roofer applied a layer of cement or something similar to the corner at the floor where the garage roof meets the house wall, but it was already cracked horizontally from front to back today. We now assume that the water ingress was caused solely by the unfinished garage roof and the incomplete garage roof drainage.

Flush-mounted boxes probably wouldn’t work where an exterior wall is involved, because the exterior wall must not be affected—especially if it’s not a calcium silicate brick wall with external insulation but one made of Poroton bricks.

I already thought it was annoying that these steel covers were recessed into the wall in our house. Fortunately, we could place both distribution units (discussed with the architect beforehand) so that they are hidden behind two doors — of course, inside the wall.

(But probably no one will notice during operation.)We deliberately have a surface-mounted distribution unit because all surrounding walls are load-bearing, and it’s located in a utility/technical room anyway. The space in front of the distribution unit is useless either way, whether it’s flush-mounted or surface-mounted.
