Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Strange. I have never heard of a flat roof that works perfectly. Just trouble with them.

I have never heard of roofs that function properly without drainage and waterproofing, regardless of their shape.

We are installing the dreaded ETICS insulation
Warning! May cause a nervous breakdown for ETICS opponents, not for the faint-hearted!

Exterior wall with waterproof membrane at the foundation, moisture protection visible in the shell construction

Is there a cross-section image showing how thick it is for this wall construction?

@Bookstar : You don’t have to, of course, but there are many ways to reach the same goal, and building a house is like that too.
@Traumfaenger : Yes, there are. The exterior wall is 17.5cm (7 inches) thick, the base area has 14cm (5.5 inches) of insulation, and above that 16cm (6.3 inches).

Only 17.5cm (7 inches)? Sand-lime brick? Do you know which type?
