Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Thank you.
@OWLer the island is 2.50m (8 feet 2 inches). Definitely go for it. Especially to avoid having to clear anything off the island if the cable otherwise hangs across it lengthwise.

Darn. I’m already arguing over every single power outlet because my wife thinks I’m totally overreacting.

What's wrong? It looks good, and having some finishing work left when moving in is quite normal.

In our case, the tiler was still working for some time after we had already moved in. However, this was coordinated so that the rooms we actually needed were already completed. Best wishes for your move-in.

Definitely install the outlets on the countertop.
We have 2 sets of 2 outlets.

Our expert said that if everyone complains there are too many outlets, then the minimum number has been met.

I'm still a bit undecided about the dark kitchen; it feels a bit too monotonous for me. I would have combined it with wood. But otherwise, I like what I see. I also have an electrical outlet, which is an absolute must-have; mine even includes a USB port, which is really convenient.

Socket on the island, not on the countertop

Wooden kitchen island with shelf side, books, red storage containers, and note pads on the surface.

Black wall socket with USB port next to gray EVOLine panel on wooden wall.
