Yes, I’m not saying that this forum isn’t great. But those who might be sensitive or prone to certain reactions should be cautious.

And I’m not saying that nobody should upload images anymore. I benefit from them myself, and we all get entertained, inspired, discouraged, amused, or whatever from the pictures. However, one has to be aware that—especially here in the anonymous internet—there can also be a lot of negativity in all forms. And that can create uncertainty, as @Tarnari already mentioned.

I might be confusing it. Someone asked about it a few (many) pages earlier and I missed replying.
From time to time, I remember and intend to find the post, but then I end up forgetting again.

One should keep in mind that mostly amateurs are involved here, and many are first-time builders (sorry for the wordplay @11ant). Sometimes I am quite surprised by the very confident statements about must-haves, whose actual value can often only be assessed more objectively in about 20 years.

I always appreciate self-confident, individually tailored building projects, regardless of the budget, because when walking through residential areas, it becomes clear that a large budget does not necessarily lead to a stylish house.
