Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Finally a view from the terrace without scaffolding:

Could you also post a picture showing the render, meaning the house façade? I’m really interested in the color of the render. Or could you maybe mention the color or product used? I like beige, but I’ve often seen results where the color didn’t turn out as expected. That’s why I’m curious.

I actually like this "cheap" photo wallpaper; it doesn't always have to be expensive.

Next milestone achieved.
The scaffolding is gone and suddenly it actually looks like a “house.”

Beige new build house with skylights, construction fence and building site on construction area

Construction site in front of beige house with open garage, pallets with cement bags and orange container.

Two-story, light beige single-family house with gable roof; building plot all around.

Beige new build with three windows; construction site in front, orange box and fence, background buildings.

Modern two-story house with solar panels on the roof, large window fronts and beige facade.

Exterior view of a new build house: beige facade, large window fronts, unpaved ground.

Side view of beige house wall with grey gutter, window front, outbuilding and garden path.

Next week, underfloor heating and interior plaster will be installed, followed by the screed in mid-September.

The color looks good! Which one did you choose in the end? Please also share some details about the plaster. Which one from your options did you go with—the coarser or the finer one?

Thanks! mini_g!

Did you set up scaffolding again just for the final coat of render?

No, seriously, I’m not familiar with this type of render.
It wouldn’t be my choice—maybe as an accent for a specific area.
What I’m curious about is the application. When you zoom in on the pictures, you can still partly see the trowel marks, and it sometimes looks almost smooth, other times with more indentations. Sometimes there are “blemishes.” Is this normal, or is it due to the way it was applied?
