Hello dear forum,
It is now time to decide on a color for the rafter tails. The roof will be covered with Tegalit slate gray, and the windows will be finished in RAL 7016.
Tegalit slate gray is similar to 7016 when placed side by side. What color did you choose for the rafter tails? I think a lighter gray would look nice, to create a clear contrast with RAL 7016—but I do need to give the carpenter a specific color shade.
I found an example online—can anyone tell me which gray is used for the rafters here?

puh…that could be RAL7040 (we haveNo way. The window gray (RAL7040) is much lighter. Just like the light gray (RAL7035) we have.
Go with RAL7016. It doesn’t need any additional contrast.

I must correct you with my sincerest regret—I certainly don’t mean to offend. To be truthful, it is not RAL 7040, but RAL 000 65 00, Mortar Grey. There really can be no doubt about that. ;-) (One might suspect you receive a commission when selling paint RAL 7040. ;-) :-) )

Use RAL7016. It doesn’t need any additional contrast. You think so? Do you have a picture of 7035 for me – it’s mainly about the contrast. I recently got a color fan deck, and I quite liked the 7012 Basalt Gray, but it’s probably too dark or not that different from 7016? That’s why I’d think the combination with light gray would be really nice if you could show me that 🙂
The facade will be white.
