Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

The bakehouse on the plan was originally designed larger (3 x 2 m [10 x 6.5 ft]), but is now 2 x 1.5 m (6.5 x 5 ft), while the bed along the house wall is smaller. The details usually only become clear once you have it in front of you in reality and start working on it.

You could also extend the chimney higher than the ridge of the neighbor’s roof. The problem is usually not the technology but the operator. If it causes smoke to enter, especially since there are windows to bedrooms, you’re liable. There are plenty of rulings regarding grills, fire pits, and similar.

It looks very stylish, congratulations on that.

We are still considering the design of our staircase and handrail. Glass puts me off a bit, at least when I think about the possible fingerprints.

@vx220 really very appealing, but... this glass railing is purely a fall protection barrier, right? Or can you actually hold on to it securely?

Well, if you can’t hold onto a fall protection barrier, then it probably shouldn’t be called a fall protection barrier, right?
