Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Well, it looks nice, but can you really hold on to the edge of the glass up there? I think that’s the idea. It also feels like something is missing at the top to hold onto. It needs a few more centimeters (inches) in circumference so that if you, for example, stumble briefly, you can catch yourself again. That happens quite often – whether with children or adults.

I would also install a handrail on the wall.

It looks very stylish, but don’t you have major problems with echo and noise throughout the entire house?

You won’t get a proper handrail on it, no matter how "cool" the glass is cut. Sometimes functionality has to come before design. I think it looks very good and is really well installed (good craftsmen = good quality).

It looks expensive, but I would also find the practical use lacking.

A spiral open staircase without a proper handrail is naturally the worst case in terms of accessibility. Perhaps it isn’t even a main staircase for living areas, but rather leads to a space like an office or something similar?
