I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Oh nooo, I kept it very long... I didn't find it that warm after all.
It’s already been over 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit) plus a mountainous route. That will warm you up on its own 🙂

Darn ...

Almost a blizzard 😱

Winter village scene: snow covering street, tractor, wooden cabin, and leafless trees.

Spring has arrived in SH.
Photos from a hike. And my new addition to the mast. I love Ellas.

Several rapeseed plants with yellow flower heads and large green leaves growing among weeds.

Green ground cover with wild leaves, white and yellow flowers, dried stems.

Large gnarled trees on the shore of a calm pond, reflections in the water and blue sky.

Greek flag flying on a mast against a clear blue sky, rooftops in the foreground.

Now that it is finally getting warmer, one spring flower after another is emerging from the hundreds of bulbs I planted last autumn.

I enjoy the colorful view every day (since I am currently swamped with work and hardly have any time for anything else, this is my only bright spot during the day):

Flower bed with yellow and white daffodils as well as red tulips along a wooden path next to a wooden wall.

Garden bed with yellow daffodils, tulips, and green plants; terrace with wooden chairs in the background.

Stone-paved path next to the wooden house with yellow tulips, daffodils, and green bed.

Flower bed by a wooden fence: yellow daffodils, pink tulips, blue grape hyacinths; garden pathway.

Orange and pink tulips in a bed by a wooden fence, gravel path on the right side of the image.

Garden bed with green leaves, purple flowers in the front, gravel ground and fence in the background.

The serviceberry is finally blooming as well, after I have been waiting for it every day:

Tree with white blossoms in front of a wooden house and window, blue sky.

My orange bleeding heart, which I brought from my old garden, survived one year in a container and obviously feels comfortable in its new place – I love its small, delicate bell-shaped flowers:

Peach-colored nasturtium flowers with yellow centers on green stems; large leaves.

Even the shaded area under our balcony in front of the basement windows is showing strong greenery:

Our blueberry blossoms are really popular with bumblebees. It’s almost exclusively bumblebees that are feeding heavily there:

White blossoms on a shrub, green branches, support, gravel ground in the background.

Garden bed with purple, yellow, and white flowers, green foliage, mulch, and pebbles.

And they are fast! It’s not so easy to photograph them 😉

The botanical tulips are simply fantastic, like colorful stars in the flower bed:

Since the weekend, this one has been decorating our balcony (and is also being used a lot for cooking):

Rosemary bush in a pot with violet flowers in front of wooden terrace cladding.

Our other rosemary plants didn’t survive the late, severe frost (-16°C (3°F)), this is the replacement.

My tomatoes are already growing well, some with flowers. They’re also looking forward to their tomato bed but will have to wait until after the ice saints (a traditional late frost period).

Ah – I love my garden 😎

Amazing!
Everything is still freezing here. This week we had temperatures as low as -8°C (17.6°F) at night. 🙁 🙄
