I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Yes, that would certainly be possible. But then the wall would just be bare over the winter, wouldn’t it?

Not bare, but definitely without flowers. Clematis are hardy climbing plants.

There are also (few) evergreen clematis varieties. Possibly combined with another one that blooms in summer. However, you should be careful about whether you have different pruning groups.
I am now going to try an evergreen honeysuckle as an alternative.

I recently read a tip to plant two different honeysuckle varieties next to each other so they can entwine. It is recommended to choose one that blooms early and one that blooms late.

Trumpet vine would also work.
The concrete can also be covered with the same stone finish used for the other stone walls, so it can look bare in winter while still remaining attractive.

It is still just brown with some herbs and other greenery. Coming soon in this theater: with berries and flowers.
