The low wall the ducks were standing on is new. It’s double-layered masonry, with two visible sides, using old bricks. The one with the trellis and the tulips in front is the original structure. Built in 1928, it was formerly a cowshed. The joints have been restored.

These ones from Bremen, by the same artist, still live inside the house and are allowed onto the covered terrace of the new house.
