We planted our small garden bed in front of the house. I'm curious to see how it will develop. At the garden center, I was advised not to add any more plants to the small bed.

That’s enough, even for plants that spread out sideways. People tend to plant way too densely when the plants are still small. Then they start growing and boom—a green explosion :-D

I really like the turf raised bed idea—I’ll have to think about where to put something like that. I still have a few to dig up here as well...

I am still waiting for plants for the prairie bed. The frost thinned them out quite a bit.

New beds will be planted in the fall once the birds have left the nesting area. Not much happened in the spring due to bad weather. I planted a section of the wall top, and that’s about it.

Today I’m showing you again the retaining wall made from old railway sleepers built by our young ones, which I get to maintain with great pleasure twice a year. I mostly plant donated groundcover perennials that can handle the summer heat.
Watering is very rare, yet very little gets damaged.
Instead of the wooden slat fence, a photovoltaic system will be installed on three sides (east-south-west) in July.
The green strips above the photovoltaic panels and below toward the residential street will be covered with gravel.

Finally, the tomatoes are starting.. 🙂 and the strawberries are amazing this year 🤨

Spring is just starting to arrive here, and the trees and shrubs are showing their very first (!) green tips ... 🙄
