Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Are the tiles in the restroom and on the attic floor the same? What kind are the ones on the attic floor? They look really nice.

Thanks... I like them too; we went all the way with them, and they are also available as outdoor slabs. It’s a large format travertine imitation—I still need to look up the exact details... They are just low-maintenance, and because of the kids and dog, we reluctantly decided against hardwood flooring. Instead, I have installed it on the walls and everywhere else it was possible.

A "mudroom" is an entryway or utility room used as a transitional space to keep dirt and mess from spreading into hallways or living areas.

For us, it’s a kind of walk-in cloakroom between the garage and the house where you can take off all the dirty clothes and hide them behind a sliding door. Some colleagues of mine have this, and I really like the concept. Guests enter through the front door and can leave their coats in the regular wardrobe, so they don’t notice any of the mess, haha.

You can use IKEA’s click and collect service and pick it up if you really need it urgently...
I did the same last time, and it was really well organized in BI.

I did that recently, it was very well organized in BI.
I think delivery is also possible at the moment. We had about 1 ton of Ikea furniture for 2 kids’ room wardrobes and the coat rack lying in our empty utility room. I’m not a fan of click+collect. (The photo attached only shows part of it; many doors and panels were stacked against the wall behind me…)

Several stacked furniture boxes and long wooden boards in an empty interior.
