Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Okay, what do you or one do if you have to stop work halfway through a floor due to weather conditions? How do you make it weatherproof? Isn’t it somewhat risky because there’s no guarantee that the floor or the roof will be completed afterwards?

Are your exterior walls made of brick or precast concrete panels?
I saw a shell construction over the weekend (externally insulated brick walls with concrete walls/ceilings on the inside). Is this more cost-effective, or what are the pros and cons of non-masonry interior walls?

The walls are formed and poured... I have no idea about the costs, that was planned by the architect and the construction manager/site supervisor. ops:

But the exterior walls have already been built with bricks, right?

Unfortunately, we are not quite there yet. Today, the ground slab was poured, but starting Thursday, the project will finally begin to take on a three-dimensional form. I hope the onset of winter holds off a little longer. Our goal for the year is to reach the basement ceiling.

Concrete is poured into the steel reinforcement of the foundation slab; workers are working on the construction site.

So for us, the ground is now permanently frozen – I hope you’re staying warmer.

As far as I know, there is insulation and then a textured render applied on top... I will take photos once that stage is reached.
