Annedefrance7 Jul 2024 19:25Dear Forum,
I’m finally posting something after following this forum for a long time.
Last September, we bought a holiday house with a larger plot of land on an Italian island. Since then, we have been renovating gradually, depending on time, budget, the availability of tradespeople, and circumstances. Just last week, we finally installed a new kitchen. I had thought about creating a dedicated thread for it. Maybe some of you will find it interesting, and it will also serve as a useful record for us. I’m sure questions will come up. For now, here are a few initial photos to bring this thread to life, which I also enjoy following.

Best regards

Cool, beautiful houses here! It would be great if the thread continues like this regularly. I’m sure everyone can still find some inspiration.
After moving into our older house with a lovely garden in December/January, here are a few pictures from our place. I’ll probably add some interior shots later, as I haven’t found any recent ones since everything was completed (lights, etc.).
We fully renovated the ground floor, and now I’m working on updating the basement rooms (electrical work, windows, partial painting).
In spring, we greened the balcony again and added a water supply system using a groundwater pump, so now we can water both the upper balcony and the garden below.

Since we moved into our old building with a lovely garden in December/January, here are a few pictures from our side. I’ll probably need to share some interior shots later—I haven’t found any recent ones since everything was completed (lighting…).
We completely renovated the ground floor, and I’m currently updating the basement rooms (electrical work, windows, partly painting).
In spring, we greened the balcony again and retrofitted a groundwater pump to provide water, so now we can irrigate both upstairs and the garden below. What kind of lamps/recessed spotlights do you have in your kitchen? Could they happen to be the Ribag Vior? They look like that somehow. If so, how well do they illuminate the space? Would one of them be enough to light a 10m² (3.2m x 3.2m / 34ft²) room? If not, which ones are they, and the same question regarding their lighting performance?

I can take a photo at night to show you how it looks in our kitchen. The kitchen is quite bright, but we have three fixtures in the hallway with about 15m² (161ft²). So I think one might be a bit tight.
Below is the lighting info.
