… and yesterday the crane was dismantled on our site …

… it had been standing on our property since November 4th of last year, moving many, many tons and even staying over the winter …
… now that it’s gone, you can see the entire house from a new perspective at the front for the first time …

AxelWowWould you be willing to share the floor plan of this masterpiece? Are the extensions due to the building permit / planning permission requirements or voluntary?

If you scroll back a bit... you would read that he does not want that... with the floor plans...And that already twice

Would you like to share the floor plan of this masterpiece?Actually, Müllerin and ypg, whom I thank for closely following my posts and for understanding that, for the well-known reasons, I prefer not to show the floor plans, have already said everything.
To satisfy some curiosity, here is the current photo again along with a few explanations:
On the left is the living room (with a small covered patio), behind it the dining room, and beyond that the kitchen and pantry. Behind the column between the two large glass panels, you can see one of the kitchen windows, so the house has a clear view from south to north.
In the center is the entrance area with a large hallway and staircase. The bathroom is located on the north side.
On the right is the study. In addition to the large window on the south side, it also has a terrace door on the east side. If you leave the door from the hallway to the study open, the house also offers a clear view from east to west.
By the way, on the ground floor there are only three doors: in front of the study, to the pantry, and to the bathroom. Everything else is open or semi-open, as the interior walls facing the hallway, dining room, and kitchen are offset. If you enlarge the image above, you get a fairly good impression.
On the upper floor there is the roof terrace, three rooms, and a bathroom.
Behind the earthen mound, the basement is hidden, featuring three cellar rooms and the utility room. The hallway and staircase are open. On the north side, there is also an external basement stairway.

Are the extensions due to the building permit or were they voluntary? As the house stands now, it was planned by us that way. The extensions were intended from the start. We simply wanted as much living space as possible on the ground floor, while keeping the total living area within limits.

We are currently in full swing preparing for the underfloor heating. The insulation on the upper floor is now completely installed, and the heating system is being set up as well... at least the base is already in place.

I’d like to ask very carefully since I’m not familiar with this: is the material around the system the insulation?
I’ve never seen it like this before... we are still in the shell stage, so maybe it’s a bit of a "naive" question.
This week we had such heavy rain that water penetrated through the masonry and through the opening that we left for ventilation purposes later [emoji15]
It has already dried again. One neighbor was hit hard. Water came through the sewage lifting system and the entire basement was flooded. The screed had only been in place for 3 days [emoji22]
