It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

After five days, the ground floor and garage are completed...

The ceiling will be installed on Tuesday. We are curious to see how quickly the other trades progress and especially when the topping-out ceremony will take place, as we are going on vacation during the first two weeks of July. [emoji848]

Regarding the third picture: what was the reasoning behind placing the shower drain at the front instead of (as is usual?) at the back towards the wall?

Since the shower is open, water naturally splashes forward as well. This water therefore reaches the drain more easily than if it were at the back.

Yes, the slope goes toward the shower drain on both sides.

I don’t think the idea is bad at all. This way, you’re not constantly standing on the drain while showering.
