I have a walk-in shower with an integrated shower channel. I clean it regularly. After about two years, light limescale deposits have become visible. Of course, I can easily descale the removable part, but unfortunately not the channel itself. How should I proceed here?

Seal the drain and then pour in a mild mixture of citric acid? The shower channel should easily withstand that, right?

Usually, it is enough to spray a descaling solution, let it sit, and then brush it off.
However, the suggested method works as well. Stainless steel is not affected.

If you remove the cover, you can easily clean the gutter. It will then be fully accessible! I don’t understand!

Cleaning is not the problem, but removing the lime scale deposits is.

Since I generally don’t use commercial descalers and my home remedies (citric acid and vinegar) are too liquid to adhere, I have to soak the limescale areas for about an hour.

Thicken with flour or starch? 😉

Yes, I could try that as well.
