I'll start right away.

Just the truth. The area does look bright, as shown in the photo, but with frosted glass, you can only dream of bright rooms.

We initially wanted to use frosted glass, but this exact appearance put us off. It blocks a lot of light and is not comparable to regular glass, which looks much nicer from the inside because it lets in significantly more light to the entrance area.

Since we have a small street and only one neighbor uses it, privacy is fortunately not a big concern, so it works for us. Unfortunately, mirrored glass is not an alternative either, as the effect reverses at night...

here is my (former) house,
self-designed, drawn, building permit / planning permission applied for and approved, house also self-built, construction time about 3 years. Total area approx. 370sqm (4000 sq ft)
