It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Here are some pictures of our staircase.
@benediktr: I only spent "a couple" of hours planning, marking, drilling holes for the electrical boxes, gluing the mounting housings, and pulling the cables 😀.

The staircase looks modern and nice.

A different question, since I just noticed the still unfilled grooves of the electrical installation. Are these usually filled by yourself (with mortar) or does the plasterer fill them later with plaster?

In our case, I only secured the cables, either with nail fixings or electrician’s plaster. The plasterers took care of the rest.
