Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

A bit, yes
Everything is routed star-shaped into the distribution board because of KNX. That adds up quite a bit with lighting, outlets, blinds, window contacts, heating, LAN, satellite, and the bus itself.

I’d say the internet has gone from a niche product to something even grandparents dislike within five years. Today, there are blind motors listed on price comparison sites, and in a few years, there will probably be many refrigerators that scan the “best before” date of milk (and actively suggest adding some more to the shopping cart). Cordless phones with a “dumb” answering machine (where you can’t remotely check the activity log of the robot vacuum) will then only be something for Nordlys and me.

I don’t want to judge it. It’s just that the picture with a million cables surprised me a bit, that’s all. When I compare it to the ten cables we have... well, in Schleswig-Holstein we mostly don’t have cables above the tracks yet, and phone numbers are still only four digits long. [emoji2]

But no longer new ones. I still have a 4-digit number. My parents even only have a 3-digit number.
