Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Saime Ceramiche, model Cotto Cemento, color Cenere, size 75.5 x 75.5 cm (30 x 30 inches).

They look very stylish. Were these available at building material suppliers or online? They don’t seem to have many options listed online.

I haven’t come across those dimensions either. I always thought standard sizes were something like 10 x 10, 10 x 20, 15 x 25, 30 x 60, 60 x 60 cm (4 x 4, 4 x 8, 6 x 10, 12 x 24, 24 x 24 inches), but 75.5?

The tiles from Saime were available at the local tile supplier.
They cost about 34 gross per m² (3.15 gross per sq ft) and weigh 14 kg (31 lbs) each.
I would have also chosen the 100 cm (39 inches) size, but they were quickly twice as expensive.
New at Saime is the size 151 x 75.5 cm (59 x 30 inches).
According to the tile installer, the quality was very good; nicely straight and without warping.

Here in the link are some more pictures from the construction, showing the leveling system. We also used it on the bathroom walls. :

The color also matches well with wood; I’ve shared these pictures here before, ground floor and upper floor:

May I ask approximately how much a folded beam staircase cost?

How much did a folded beam staircase cost approximately, if I may ask?

Unfortunately, it is made of oiled oak and quite expensive due to the thickness. The gross price at the joiner was about 6,500 (6.5 T). In 2017, we paid around 14,700 (14.7 TEUR) for both staircases plus a bench. Railings, glass, and detailed painting work are additional costs... There was no exact measurement, but it took two skilled workers and two apprentices about a week to complete.
