Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

The soffit lighting is on the south side, with the adjoining access road next to it. The plot directly opposite is currently vacant, and I assume the terrace there will also face south, with the entrance on the north side, similar to the neighbor of the vacant lot. Therefore, the light is unlikely to disturb the neighbors. Additionally, the access road currently does not have any street lighting. There is also no timer or light control system in place.

I hope this sheds some light on the situation (quite a fitting phrase).

Facade spotlights are otherwise unnecessary. No one wants to see light pollution and the uneven facade in grazing light anyway
Facade spotlights can be very effective as subtle pathway lighting alongside the house when the facade is not dark. Please note the following:
  • Do not emit light beyond the roof overhang
  • Use low light intensity
  • Limit illumination of the house to pathways or the terrace only.

That doesn’t bother me..... there are 3 electrical outlets below for that (2 on the terrace, 1 in the kitchen).
