Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Construction continues. The inspection shaft has been installed on the outside. The utility room is slowly living up to its name. The heat pump will arrive tomorrow and is scheduled to be operational by Wednesday. Water will be connected to the house tomorrow, and the telecom company is planned to come next Friday.

I’d like to contribute something again, even if it’s not much. Our progress has been a bit slow. The lean concrete layer has been poured and dried, and it was sealed with bitumen sheets. Insulation is currently being laid out, and the formwork is being constructed. Tomorrow, the rebar will be installed, and on Monday the concrete will be poured. Hopefully, the basement will be finished by Christmas.

Am I missing something, or why put insulation on top of the slab? Shouldn't it be underneath? :-O

The insulation is on the blinding layer, not on the slab. The slab will go on top of it, I would say.

The foundation is still to be constructed. Below the insulation there is only the blinding layer.
If insulation boards are not used, the insulation is usually placed underneath this layer.
