I have only seen the working drawings. They don’t provide the detailed HVAC and plumbing plans during construction.Sorry, but I find that a bit naive. So you weren’t asked where you want supply or exhaust air placed? In a situation like that, you would normally ask the general contractor whether it will be a floor outlet or ceiling outlet, especially considering future furniture placement. We are also building with a general contractor, without individual trade contracts. However, I requested and received plans for every trade—whether electrical layouts, heating load calculations, design of the underfloor heating, ventilation planning, etc. Of course, if you don’t follow up, you won’t get that kind of information.

No. There is still a stepped-back upper floor. I think it’s normal to build larger on the ground floor when there is a stepped-back upper floor. The upper floor should then only cover about two-thirds of the footprint and still function well. We also expanded quite a bit on the ground floor; otherwise, it wouldn’t have been possible to fit all the children’s rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and staircase on the upper floor. This can’t be compared to a typical two-story construction.

Why don’t they release that? In my opinion, this was a “we don’t need detailed drawings” issue for the general contractor.

And I don’t think of questioning things I’m not familiar with. That was a good one. So what do you call the things you do question?
