Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

I could imagine that in this case the builder himself agreed that it doesn’t matter to him if the soil pipe is surface-mounted in the utility room...

Hmm, in our case, the wall was planned "in front of the wall" where it should have been inside the exterior wall. However, the partitions were clearly communicated from the beginning and were each built, for example, to the width of the shower, so in my opinion, it looks intentional rather than just a simple 20 x 20 cm (8 x 8 inches) corner.

Only one rough pipe was installed directly in the exterior wall since it had to pass through the living room.

We are currently installing the L-shaped concrete blocks for the terrace (left side in the picture). I hope the left side of the terrace will be completed this afternoon. After that, the area will be backfilled, and next week topsoil will be added so we can sow grass.

Dear friends of house construction,

we have a giant snake in the house, genus Hypocaustum …

Underfloor heating pipes laid: red pipes looped on foil in the new build room.

Unrenovated room with underfloor heating: red pipes spiraled on insulation foil, window visible.

Best regards

Our exhaust ventilation was completed today. However, the ventilation setup doesn’t seem logical. When it rains, everything drains into our basement.

According to our plumber, there is no other option. We can hardly imagine that. Isn’t it possible to install it with a vertical duct, like our fresh air intake?
