Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

At the moment, we are leaning strongly towards the umbrella option. The area is simply too large for an awning, and a sun sail probably wouldn't suit the look of the house.
Then you have the issue that you need to weigh down the base with plates. Anchoring it permanently with bolts is no longer possible due to the possibly already applied waterproofing, unless you can have that integrated into the waterproofing during installation. This means having a metalworker or a friend with a lathe make a riser, and the actual umbrella mount is then screwed onto it.
The mount is usually the same for 360-degree rotating umbrellas...
The riser itself could be fixed with bolts and integrated into the waterproofing.
If the umbrella ever breaks, you just buy a new one....

I can recommend, for example, the large umbrella
Paramondo Parapenda in 3 x 4 meters (9.8 x 13.1 feet) or the round 3.5 m (11.5 feet) version.
Great value for money, especially regarding wind resistance.

May I ask how the floor plan finally turned out? Your thread only shows the initial plan. Has anything been changed with the staircase (it was quite steep)?

The riser steps made from 2cm (0.8 inch) porcelain stoneware slabs for the terrace are also finished.
Just a few more hours tomorrow, and then we’ll be done [emoji2]

Why? You’re anonymous here. Nobody really cares about just some random floor plan—if a homebuilder copies parts of it for their house, so what?

As if some Eastern European organized crime group would hack this forum to find out your location or name... Criminals don’t need a floor plan for that. You can tell it’s a teacher’s household from reading between the lines.
