Regards, Bauexperte... But that doesn’t change anything
After a week of weather-related delays, we finally resumed backfilling yesterday. What I discovered last night can be seen in the photo. The basement insulation has shifted along the wall by several meters during the backfilling process, pushing the insulation around the corner away from the wall.
Right now, the mood is bad and work is stopped. The gravel delivery for today has been canceled again. On Monday, a smaller excavator will be used to dig out up to the point where the displacement began. It’s frustrating...

Hello,
oh no....
My full sympathy... good that you still noticed it!
But how can that happen? The insulation should be fully adhered – how on earth can it slide?
Our inspector insisted that the insulation be fully glued over the entire surface.
Best regards,
Andreas

Sebastian7924 Jun 2016 10:47You also have load case 6, right?
For normal seepage water without buildup, they are just glued to the wall with blobs.
A whole wall also collapsed for us shortly before the basement was completed – I was so angry.
