Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I need to check which RAL number our roof tiles have. However, our windows are white

Unfortunately, we can’t avoid the roof tiles anymore, unless we want to risk deformation and/or a fine.
Someone is walking around the construction area and reporting issues, unfortunately. It happened with our neighbor as well.

Now it comes down to the window color. We don’t want white since the facade will already be white, and anthracite windows probably won’t match the roof. That’s why I was hoping to see some pictures here.

Ours are darker.

Do you really have to cover the roof with such a light color? I would consider a different facade color than white... is that still possible?

A heat pump with a proper hydraulic balancing and suitable settings does not need an ERR and runs year-round (including during transition months) at the optimal performance point and takes care of the rest by itself....

Scenario 1: Winter day, 0°C (32°F) with sun at midday.

Living room faces south with a large glass front, kitchen faces north. How does your heat pump manage without an ERR to prevent the living room from becoming excessively warm or the kitchen too cold?

Maybe the Viessmann Blablubb-Eco-XX with app control from a smartphone and weather service connection, working together with the smart home controller and photovoltaic yield measurement based on the battery storage charge level and an Alexa presence sensor, can control this even without an ERR, but a thermostat valve device is definitely simpler.
Yes, I know, "self-regulation" of underfloor heating—but it is at least as slow as the underfloor heating itself and only works moderately well.

However, at the latest when having raclette dinner or cooking with friends, or any other heat input that cannot be predicted based on the outdoor temperature, your central control (without regulation based on room temperature) will fail, even with the "self-regulating effect of the underfloor heating." The house won’t catch fire, no one will freeze, and there will be no building damage, but it simply is uncomfortable. And considering the often quite high expenses here for especially fancy tile designs, stair railings, garage doors, or KNX systems, the comfort gain per dollar spent on an additional ERR is actually very significant.

Well, you didn’t contribute an image yourself with your comment either :-P

@Zaba12: Unfortunately, I can’t help you either; we have Braas anthracite.
